ArcGIS GIS Server capabilities and extensions

The extensions to ArcGIS GIS Server allow you to add to the existing capabilities in your system. In many cases the extensions have separate desktop and server offerings.

For a discussion of the what's included with ArcGIS Enterprise, including the components of a base deployment and additional licensing roles for ArcGIS Server, see What is ArcGIS Enterprise?.

Capabilities and extensions

Availability of capabilities and extensions depends on the ArcGIS GIS Server license edition you purchased. For example, some capabilities are provided by default with your edition. Others may be available for purchase as an extension. Information about which license edition is required to use the functionality is noted below.
